Opportunity is Knocking
Easter is a very special day as we celebrate the resurrection of our king. At some point today when all the festivities have ended, ask yourself this question: are you taking advantage of Jesus' sacrifice?
His victory over death gives us an opportunity for enteral life. I hope you didn't miss the key word in my statement, "opportunity." God's plan for our salvation is meaningless to you if you don't accept it. Jesus humbled himself by giving up his Godly form to be born in a world he created. He endured the agony of a slow torturous death. Triumphantly broke the sting of death and returned from the grave in all power and majesty. All of this so that you don't have to die for your sins.
So seize the opportunity for eternal life by giving your life to God. Don't fall into the trap of thinking that being a good person puts you in good standing with God. You have to become a Christian. For “...no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”— (1 Cor 2:9 ESV). So again, I ask: are you taking advantage of Jesus' sacrifice?
